Dannii - In Hot Demand!

I was stunned to find a relatively positive article about Dannii in today's "Sydney Confidential" - a newspaper column which has been more than a little unkind to Holidannii in the past. Hopefully, the fat trollops have finally seen the light and opened their hearts to Minogue Jr. The article itself is quite interesting. It seems Channel 7 are desperate to retain Dannii's glamorous presence for the second series of "Australia's Got Talent", even if it means working around "X factor". The network have obviously realised that the nation was only tuning in to see one person - and it wasn't the skanky 10 year old who won the grand prize. My only concern is how Dannii would cope with having not one but two jobs! When would she find the time for her traditional bi-monthly holiday?

Dannii's Always Had The X Factor!

I know this is very old news but I have been lazier than Queen Dannii on a Spanish beach and simply haven't found the time to comment on one of the year's - perhaps one of history's - most stunning developments. Yes, I'm talking about Holidannii being signed as a judge for the UK's "X Factor". I'm creaming at the thought of Dannii imparting her years of unrivalled pop wisdom on a whole new generation of musicians. Holidannii has been a beacon of professionalism since the days of Young Talent Time. Just look at this gorgeous photo. Dannii could obviously dance rings around that choreographer but like a trouper, she pretends to be utterly clueless! Who better than Dannii to instill such an enviable work ethic into "X Factor" contestants?

Here is an article from the BBC about Dannii's historical appointment:

Dannii to become X Factor judge

Singer Dannii Minogue and choreographer Brian Friedman are to be judges on the next series of The X Factor. The pop star and Friedman - a panellist on current talent show Grease is the Word - will fill the gap left by the departure of Louis Walsh. They will join long-standing judges Simon Cowell and Sharon Osbourne on the ITV programme. Earlier this year it was announced that Dermot O'Leary would present the next two series, replacing Kate Thornton.

Minogue, 35, who has scored a string of chart hits, said: "I can't wait to be part of The X Factor team and getting up close and personal on a daily basis with Simon. Just because I'm the new girl, I won't be a pushover - he'll soon see my competitive streak." Brian Friedman is a judge on ITV's Grease is the Word. Friedman, who has worked with Britney Spears, said he was "flattered to be offered such a coveted position".

ITV's director of comedy and entertainment, Paul Jackson, said: "We're delighted we've managed to secure two new judges who between them have such a wealth of talent and experience."

The programme's format is also being revamped for the next series, with the introduction of a new performance category. The age limit for hopefuls has also been lowered.

YTT Fanzine Article From 1988

I came across this fabulous Dannii article in a Young Talent Time fanzine from 1988 and was completely overpowered by Dannii's stunning hair and amazing wardrobe. The pictures are just delightful. Who knew that Dannii could even chop a carrot? Enjoy!
